SING DETAILS:
Check-in and registration will begin at 3:45 PM so that we can start rehearsal promptly at 4:00 PM in the sanctuary. Both the front door on Central Square and the back entrance next to the Bank of America will be open for you, and we will have greeters at both entrances starting at 3:30 PM to guide you to the upstairs parlor area.
Singers, both already registered and walk-in registrants should head to Room 219 and pick up your music. This room will also be our staging room. Non-valuables can be left there. Please do not bring purses or other valuables, as the spaces will not be secured.
Music: All music scores will need to be returned at the conclusion of the performance.
Folders: If you have a black folder to hold your music, please bring it with you to our rehearsal Thursday. We will have a few extra ones if you don’t have one.
We will have a three-hole punch and a stapler available for both three ring folders and those with bands.
We will rehearse until 6:00 PM and then take a 30 minute supper break.
There will be space for everyone to sit and relax. Don’t forget to bring your own supper and water. We will not have access to the refrigerator, so bring small coolers to keep your food. and drinks chilled, if necessary.
If you wish to bring cookies or other finger food desserts to share, that’s fine.
If you go out for supper, we ask that you be back in the church (we’ll tell you where) by 6:30.
Dress: Comfortable, simple, church appropriate for a warm summer afternoon and evening. We ask that you refrain from the use of perfume and scented after shave for the benefit of singers who are scent-sensitive or allergic.
Parking: There is a modest lot right behind the church, accessible both from the back of the bank and from Vernon Street (one way between Washington and Court Streets). Important:Please do not park to the right outside the church back door, or left along the church building. These spaces are reserved until after business hours and you will be towed if you park there. Spaces along the far wall behind the Bank of America are also reserved during business hours, and again, you will be towed if you park there.
You may also find spaces down Washington Street and Court Street. Parking on the square and on Main Street is scarcer but doable. Note that the meters will require feeding until 6 pm!
You may wish to carpool.
During rehearsal you may bring water (but no food or other drinks) into the sanctuary.
